A deadly game
by Diana Urban

Let’s play a game. You have 24 hours to win. If you break my rules, she will die. If you call the police, she will die. If you tell it, she will die. Ready?

When Crystal Donovan receives a message on her phone accompanied by a video showing her little sister tied and gagged, she agrees to play along with the kidnapper. At first, she receives instructions as peculiar as they are disparate: steal a test, bake a dessert, make a prank call… However, Crystal soon realizes that each of these instructions has been designed to hurt and even kill. his friends; but, if she refuses to play, her sister may not live to tell the tale.

For what purpose would someone do such a thing? Could it have to do with the video game tournament that Crystal and her gang are participating in, and whose close final is about to be played? Or perhaps with a long-buried secret?

As Crystal is forced to choose again and again between her friends’ lives and her sister’s, she will do whatever it takes to beat the kidnapper at his own game before it’s too late.
