Pepe Doncel publishes “The moment to create”, an essay that invites debate among artists.

Understood by Pepe Doncel as a work that is easy to read, both for its length and its content, it is aimed at both those initiated into music and those who have little knowledge but are interested in it.

RED CIRCLE.- The moment to create is born from the need to tell, to organize ideas, reflections and thoughts about the current situation of music, fundamentally of an industrial nature.

In the work, published in Círculo Rojo Grupo Editorial, the reader will find music as a starting point to reflect on different current issues in society from an artistic, if not ethical, point of view. In the words of the author: “Critical observations on the role of artists, the creation of music in the industry, digital consumption, the ideas of freedom and originality, and you will also find proposals for artistic endeavors, always with a desire to clarify and founded in the best way I have known.”

Inspired by his professional experiences and training, the author was driven to write his reflections, sparked by artistic and deontological conflicts that he encountered in his environment. He relies on his teachers, professionals and friends who have helped him when deciding to publish this work. This essay takes a critical look at certain phenomena and practices that occur in the music industry, but also in the academic world. Pepe thus tries to provide arguments and alternative proposals to these situations.
