John Verdon worked at several advertising agencies in Manhattan as a creative director until, like his protagonist, he moved to live in upstate New York in a rural setting.
I Know What You’re Thinking (Roca, 2010), his first novel, was a worldwide success.
In 2011, he published Don’t Open Your Eyes, which was also a critical and sales success, which was followed by Leave the Devil Alone, Don’t Trust Peter Pan, I’ll Control Your Dreams, You’ll Burn in the Storm and The Black Angel. The series, starring the charismatic retired detective David Gurney, is already a benchmark in the noir and crime genre.
In 2023 John Verdon will publish The Favor, the new installment of the Dave Gurney series.
