Review of “The Destination Hunter”, by Benjamín Serrano

The destiny hunter

How difficult to define love, right? I would say impossible. Love has so many forms that what am I going to say now that the poets haven’t already said… However, fortunately, there is always a new place for a love story. Although, in this case, it is not exactly a typical love story. Or if. You will have to judge it.

The Libros y Literatura publishing house presents its new release: The Hunter of Destiny, a novel by Benjamín Serrano with shades of a Gothic novel that, personally, has captivated me from the first to the last page. And there is something in Benjamín’s prose that engages and excites. A very authentic personal seal that manages to go beyond the lines of the paper and stay inside the reader.

The young Queipo has always been a reserved boy, very different from the others, a fan of romantic novels, an idealist, a dreamer who repelled any type of violence. However, a strange visit will change his life completely. The hunter of destiny has set his sights on him and there is nothing he can do to stop the senselessness in which the hunter has decided to plunge his life.

Queipo decides to flee from his city, from himself, from that imposed destiny that he never chose and that stalks him every step he takes. This is how he ends up in Svetzlana, a coastal town in Norway where he hopes to avoid that reality that torments him. However, he will soon discover that the hunter of destiny will not stop until he finds him, until he takes away what he considers his. But Queipo, stubborn, will continue to postpone the inevitable, marking his escape until he ends up on the mysterious island of Fátima, a paradisiacal enclave, a haven of peace where he may find the answers to the questions that torment him.

While fleeing from that imposed destiny, in his mind is always present, on the one hand, the memory of his dear friend Angie, and, on the other, the irrational love for Cristal, that strange girl to whom that destiny that now does not even seem yours ends up bringing, inexorably, time and time again to your present.

Will Queipo be able to find the answers he longs for? Will he be able to avoid the hunter of destiny and the fate to which he seems to be hopelessly doomed? Will he understand that strange bond that unites him to Cristal? Will he be able to love beyond reality? fur?

The answers to these questions, readers, will be found in the pages of The destiny hunterthis novelty of Books and Literature that surprises, excites and captivates.

A different story, brilliantly executed, capable of transporting you to other worlds and that will make your skin crawl. As I told you at the beginning, the literary quality of this novel is very high and I am convinced that Benjamín Serrano’s narrative voice, at times very lyrical, will captivate you as much as it did me.

If you are looking for a different reading that moves you, The destiny hunter It’s your book.
