Review of the book “I love you, Sara”, by Luis F. Reinosa

Life can change from one moment to the next. For better or worse. There is news that comes to alter our entire world in a second without us being able to do anything about it. I guess, readers, for better or worse, you’ve been there, right?

Exactly this happens to the protagonist of the novel I am reviewing today. One night, in the middle of the morning, the sound of the telephone bursts in to change his life completely. Devastating news will shake the foundations of his world: Sara, his girlfriend Sara, has died. From then on, Tony will plunge into a spiral of self-destruction that will take him to the limit of himself. A form of self-annihilation that not only promises to end himself, but will inevitably drag his friends into it.

For her part, Clara has been in Mistada’s body for more than five months. She works alongside her partner Vázquez, for whom she may feel a slight crush.

Sonny and Crash, both in their fifties, have known each other since they were children. They are pure Madrid natives and together they run Argonautas MC, the biker club that their parents, close friends, founded in the seventies. They both enjoy their great passion: motorcycles, endless road trips, women, alcohol and having a good time. Until now they have always gotten along perfectly, but a drug deal will make them confront each other over their interests. Sonny, without counting on Crash’s opinion and hiding from him, takes charge of the business, but what he does not know is that he is about to enter a plot much more complex than he expected and that will involve them. all. And Jaime, with whom Sonny is trying to close a deal, is going to put him on the ropes.

More than a year has passed since Sara’s death and Tony continues to deal, in his own way, with the consequences that the news left him: he suffers from a major depression that keeps him hooked on pills. Marcos tries to help him and get him out of that pit of misery into which he has sunk since Sara’s tragic death, even if that means going to a country house to get, for the last time, the pills to which his friend has turned. addicted. This is how, together with Samuel, Marcos and Tony they end up at the house where a biker meeting is being held and which will lead them to follow witnesses of a murder that will change their lives completely. Without eating or drinking it, they will be accused of the crime and will have no choice but to start a frantic flight to save their own lives.

Little by little, Luis F. Reinosa weaves the plot of this book of intersecting characters whose stories he manages to intertwine with ease and mastery. The lives of Clara, Tony, Marcos, Sonny and the rest of the characters in this choral novel intersect in a plot of thriller that gives no respite. A story of three that ends up converging to become one.

With casual language, many well-written references and a captivating way of narrating, I love you, Saraimmerses us in an addictive story that covers topics as complex as mental health, drug trafficking, prostitution and police corruption.

A different novel, raw, realistic, biting and with a touch of very fine humor, which also emphasizes the value of friendship and love.

If you are looking for a thriller original, well written and that goes beyond suspense, I recommend this proposal by Luis F. Reinosa that, I am convinced, will leave you breathless and will make you have a good time.
