The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Vita Castellá, is found dead in a luxury hotel room in Madrid. The compromised situation requires that a possible murder be officially ruled out and that the investigation stalls, so the party in power, to which the victim belongs, has activated all resources and has rung all the phones of the highest echelons that can help it gain time. For his part, the head of the police of the Comunitat Valenciana decides to help the Minister of the Interior and the director of the National Police, Juan Quesada Montilla, in their mission: to mislead the authorities. Alicia Gimenez Bartlett (Almansa, Albacete, 1951) lived and studied in Valencia until 1975, when he moved to Barcelona, the city where he still resides. He has published, among others, the novels Exit, Love life of a truck driver, A strange room (Lumen Women’s Award 1997), Secret Penelope, Where no one can find you (Nadal Novel Prize 2011) and Naked men (Planeta Prize 2015). He has also cultivated the essay with works such as The mystery of the sexes y Eva’s debt.
