Stories of married women
by Cristina Campos
Planeta Award Finalist 2022
Husbands, lovers and friends come and go, but love, true love, remains forever.
A sincere and current novel about marriage, friendship, desire and love.
Gabriela is a woman married to a man she loves. The one she adores. A man who begs her for sex once a month. And Gabriela, because she loves him, because she adores her husband, without wanting it, she grants it to him. But every morning, Gabriela comes across a stranger, a man whom she, incomprehensibly, desires.
Gabriela is a journalist and works alongside her editorial colleagues, Silvia and Cósima, women with whom she has forged a beautiful and solid friendship. Like Gabriela, they also hide small secrets from their husbands.
Stories of Married Women is a powerful novel that delves into feminine intimacy and naturally narrates the reality of many contemporary women trapped in lives they never imagined.
