This book tells the story of the dramatic illness that has marked the author’s life. With this work, Pilar wants to give visibility to people with a complex physical condition who need support to live with dignity.
Pilar, in order to improve her situation so that her life would be as “normal” as possible, resorted to what could be her salvation: a kidney transplant. The first, despite difficulties, was successful, the second, donated by her mother, failed, as did the third, which was from a cadaver donor, with the suffering that it caused her, as well as the deterioration it caused.
Her intention was always to improve her life, but the opposite happened. But despite this, she is not throwing in the towel and is waiting for a fourth transplant to come and be successful.
The message is clear: with determination, struggle and sacrifice, you can overcome any difficult situation.
