The publication of her new novel coincides with the development of the Red Queen series on Amazon Prime. Juan Gómez-Jurado himself is, together with showrunner Amaya Muruzábal, in charge of the television adaptation of Antonia Scott’s fascinating story. Reina Roja has spent more than 180 consecutive weeks on the best-seller lists and was the best-selling book in Spain in 2019 and 2020.

Journalist and writer, Juan Gómez-Jurado debuted in 2006 with his first novel, Espía de Dios, which achieved notable success that continued with his following works, Contract with God (2007) and El emblema del traidor (2008). Then came The Legend of the Thief (2012), The Patient (2014) or Cicatriz (2015) and his recent trilogy, Red Queen, which has made him the best-selling thriller writer in Spanish. All his work is published in Ediciones B, Penguin Random House.

He has also written several sagas of books for young people starring the space adventurer Alex Colt, as well as Amanda Black, in collaboration with Bárbara Montes, which has been number one on the list of best-selling books for children and young people since its launch. All of his work has been translated into more than 40 languages.

Gómez – Jurado is also co-creator of the podcasts Todopoderosos and Here there are dragons, which have more than half a million loyal listeners. The renowned author also has an exclusive agreement for the development of creative concepts for series and films in Spanish exclusively for Amazon Prime Video, becoming the second creator to sign an agreement of this category with Amazon Studios in Europe.
