Blues Diary
by Alejandra G. Remón

Diario de AzuLES is the reflection of a chromatic passion, but also the daily story of Ales, the nickname by which those closest to her call Alejandra G. Remón.

In these pages the author offers us an intimate walk through her most personal, free and true universe (not in vain is blue the color of freedom and truth): aphorisms, reflections and poems that speak of nostalgia, simple pleasures, dreams , uncertainties and desires.

Each text is a small illustrated composition that makes us feel and moves us. With collages, photographs, cyanotypes and handwritten fragments, this work wrapped in blue, overflowing with artistic sensitivity, is a window open to Alejandra G. Remón’s daily life, from which we understand that “observing is not something that should only be done with the eyes.”

Alejandra G. Remón (La Rioja, 1985) has an insatiable curiosity and practices disorderly writing that has flooded notebooks since adolescence. Sometimes he thinks he lives in New Wave films, and the rhythms of Motown, bossa nova, psychedelia and jazz resonate in his head. He has a predilection for the photographs of Vivian Maier and Francesca Woodman and, in the literary field, for authors such as Roald Dahl, Stefan Zweig, Clarice Lispector and the writers of the beat generation, who were his inspiration to define sensations, question life and begin to write. He has collaborated in different media (Vogue, AD Spain, Glamour, SModa, Telva…) and participated in several editorial projects. Numerous firms have counted on their creativity and image for different campaigns; some of them are Chloé, Loewe or Samsung Cultura. Her experience in the world of fashion has translated into active participation in various actions (Botín Foundation, Thyssen Bornemisza Museum, Association of Fashion Creators of Spain). Her facets as a photographer with an intimate style and as a plastic artist, specialized in the collage technique, deserve special attention, from which she has held several exhibitions and samples in recent years. She is the author of When Nobody Looks (Lunwerg, 2017), All those times and other pending matters (Lunwerg, 2019), Despite everything, I think of you (Lunwerg, 2020), Anatomy of emotions (Lunwerg, 2021) and Diario de AzuLES (Lunwerg, 2022), art books that combine poetic prose, photographs, collages and other pieces of visual art. His personal, artistic and unique style has connected with thousands of readers who seek in his works an object or piece of art that transcends a simple reading. Her Instagram account (@alejandraremon) is a small alphabet of style and emotions.
