On the other hand, the setting is more suggestive. And the mystery (as well as the romance, by the way) is usually laid out organically, and there are only a couple of passages where I think the machinery is forced in that sense.

Perhaps it will raise the eyebrows of the most demanding readers, as it occasionally abuses artificial tricks to chain events or give clues to certain mysteries; However, if you approach it knowing what to expect, you will enjoy a well-crafted, unpretentious pastime.
