In Reviary city There is a bit of everything: an antihero drug addict, a supernatural conspiracy that threatens the entire world, twisted penises, monsters eat brains, celebrities that submit their bodies to unsuspected physical alterations, weapons that affect the human body of forms the sea of peculiar, etc …

Jeremy’s novel Robert Johnson is entertaining, dynamic and moderately original. It is read in a sigh, so addictive that it is its argument, and combines with amazing “thriller” solvency, action, crime, science fiction, terror, bizarre, romance, humor and the excesses of the most genuine series B.

It is about Sp Doyle, who, after serving a bank for thirteen years, decides to cheat him. To do this, he succumbs to his hexadrine addiction, a drug that allows him to carry out his plan without hardly resting. It will soon unravel a large -scale conspiracy and will be forced to choose side in a war that has been being developed in the shadows.

Of Reviary city Highlight:

  • Its expansion of the universe explored by the author in his story “The League of the Céroes”.
  • Some of his ideas, creative, crazy and discomfort.
  • His humor, usually reasonably effective and protagonist of brilliant moments.
  • The passage dedicated to telling the chilling past of Dr. Tikoshi.
  • The character arc that Doyle experiences, somewhat abrupt but skillfully raised.

On the other hand, I would point out some things that, although they do not significantly hear the whole, have been frowning during reading:

  • The irregularity of its rhythm, which fails to keep the same level of interest all the time.
  • The romance between Doyle and Dara, although well carried and convincing, is in some somewhat forced and cliché. Personally, I would have preferred that Doyle’s love was unilateral and not corresponding.
  • The extravagant weapons that appear in these pages are quite creative, but I would have liked to be used more often, and see other types.

Be that as it may, Reviary city It is an addictive and uncomplexed pastiche that will make us spend a great time, just like the most absurd, macarra and bloody series that, so good that it is, can even take a tad seriously successfully.
