It narrates the brief existence of Manuel (or Manolito), a young man interned according to the design of his deceased parents in a seminary. The severity of religious life, as well as the indifference of the priests who take care of him, impel him to flee. Unfortunately, he is located and punished.

That is why the story is extremely linear, the characters are quite simple and their role in the story is often more anecdotal than would be necessary (I think, for example, of the lack of participation that Federico, Manolito’s friend , has in the plot).
The prose of both novels is very similar. A prose that is rich and expressive in its form, although at times somewhat repetitive, grandiose and prone to diluting the action or rhythm due to several dissertations.
In summary: Cure hatchery It is, just as it was Eveningan imperfect novel. Even so, it is extremely attractive as a paradigmatic example of literary naturalism (with its scientism, its determinism and its bestialization of certain characters); It also delivers as a forceful and vindictive fiction, despite the irregularity of its execution and its message.
