Thousands of years later
de Leire Cortabarria
The world of Thousands of Years Later is perhaps set in an indeterminate future where the cult of reason reigns and emotions have been banished, and which is represented in a boarding school where the young protagonist, Chiara, lives. In this universe where all relationships are governed by an algorithm, Chiara must face unleashed violence that will make her rethink her certainties and her own identity, and reach a point where the laws of life and death become confused with each other.
Leire Kortabarria (Oñati, Basque Country). Poet and writer, with a blog and a book of poems to her credit. Thousands of Years Later is the first novel she has published. In all her texts she addresses her humanistic concerns, placing her characters at the centre of universal conflicts narrated with an approach that is both realistic and fantastical.
