The boy of the shrews
by Ana Obregón and Aless Lequio

Ana Obregón, one of the most beloved and recognized women in our country, offers us a heartbreaking testimony about the loss of her son Aless Lequio, after a long and difficult illness.

The heart of this book is El chico de las musarañas, the text that Aless began to write when he was diagnosed with cancer. A sincere, acid, ironic, vibrant story, with a unique sense of humor, which he was unable to finish, and which reveals the talent, charisma and personality of a young man who, without a doubt, would have succeeded as a writer.

Through these pages, Ana lays bare her thoughts on a journey of hope, struggle and strength, where she shows a hurricane of feelings and emotions without a filter, immersing the reader in an unforgettable experience.

The most beautiful proof of a mother’s love, a moving story that will overwhelm and on more than one occasion will bring a knowing smile.

Aless Lequio (Alejandro Alfonso Lequio Jr), son of Alessandro Lequio and Ana Obregón, was born on June 23, 1992 in Madrid. “A 27-year-old nonconformist entrepreneur on many fronts,” as he defined himself on his Instagram account, he had a solid academic background, as demonstrated by his double degree in Philosophy and Political Science from Duke University, one of the most prestigious in the United States, in addition to obtaining degrees in International Relations, online marketing and social networks. His enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and his desire to undertake new ideas and projects led him to found, together with his friend Nacho Ansorena, Polar Marketing, his dream come true that would become a leader in Growth Hacking and digital innovation. Together with Nacho he also founded Celebriteat Solutions SL, a digital marketing app for celebrities and influencers and Blend Solutions. Aless left us on May 13, 2020, after two years battling cancer. During this period he taught us a lesson on how to face illness, without drama, as he himself said, and without ever losing his sense of humor. During this period he began to write a book, El chico de las musarañas, a gem that he was unable to publish and that now sees the light of day thanks to his mother, Ana Obregón. His dream was to donate the profits to cancer research. His legacy remains in the Foundation that bears his name and that was created with the aim of raising funds to research this disease in a country where 200,000 people die from it every year. www.fundacionalesslequio.org
