Immature: Los Inocentes
by Javier Perez Campos

A work full of mystery, which delves into the concept and stories of the ghost child, under the addictive pen of Javier Pérez Campos

«The ghost of the child terrifies and disturbs us. He whispers to us, with his pale little body under the moonlight, that he has died at an untimely hour and that, therefore, there is no certainty of a tomorrow for us either.»

A pale child walking down a lonely road… A small figure playing in a long hotel hallway… A baby crying at the gates of a cemetery in the woods. These are the Innocents, the most feared ghosts in history. Thousands of people around the world have encountered them. The fear they provoke is like no other, perhaps because the ghost of a child is a mirror in which our own transience is reflected.

After the birth of his two children, journalist Javier Pérez Campos began to receive a multitude of testimonies from people who claimed to have encountered these childhood ghosts. And so, while facing a vital change with his newborns, he embarked on a journey that has taken him from old medieval chronicles to official buildings, cemeteries and roads where the Innocents still manifest themselves, challenging us in a profound way.

Javier Pérez Campos (Ciudad Real, 1989) is a journalist who has spent years searching for hidden stories. He is currently a reporter for the successful television program Cuarto milenio (Cuatro).
