by Hilary Mantel
Synopsis:
Hilary Mantel offers us a dazzling collection of autobiographical stories that, set in England in the 1950s and 1960s, portray those moving childhood experiences that change us forever: the death of a pet, the separation of parents, find your way back home or realize that adults make mistakes. Its narrators, children and adolescents who try to make sense of the world around them through the wisdom and curiosity of childhood, refuse to let go of both as they enter adulthood.
