It is still curious that Tuli Márquez remains unpublished in Spanish for its four brilliant novels and, instead, its first title published in this language is this curious unequivocally title experiment zweigianoalmost a wink or a private game, as an act of raising your hand and aiming, under voiceI am actually a novelist who passed through here. 365 star moments of music It is a curious experiment halfway between those old agendas that, apart from the saints of the day, added quotes or aphorisms and one of the usual fetishes of cultural environments: the references lists.
Márquez plays with a double advantage: that of the senior that already accumulates an experience of how things have gone for this planet and that of the selfless but tireless listener of all kinds of music. It is hard for me not to imagine the man surrendered feverishly to his job as a writer while the music parades for the amortizadic account premium of some platform, an issue that, if the algorithm behaves, ends up being more practical and comfortable than getting up every time from the chair and choosing that vinyl, that CD. Or, to strip it of so much outdated alharaca, it is a freak of music. And the challenge here is to link ephemeris of the musical world with marked dates of contemporary history, and do so for each and every one of the dates of one year should not have resulted simple, and this is noticeable in the rhythm of the text. There was no need, therefore, those three notes on the cover that seem to recommend the book as if it were a compressed encyclopedia, something impersonal. Impersonal, this book has nothing. For him, now, encyclopedic knowledge of Márquez, who is capable of jumping from Nino Bravo to Japan, from the Beatles to Kraftwerk, in elections that can be shocking or even antagonists, and to pump so many mentions on dates of discos publications, of concerts, with the key dates of contemporary history, as remembering that coexistence of global realities, with a logic preponderance of the events of the western world (bullidero, on the other hand, of a good proportion of the most widespread musical production), which ends up seeking an exciting and refreshing reading of those that push the exploration of new territories.
